What Skillmatch is
Skillmatch introduces self-employed tradespeople to businesses that need work done on their own sites. We are an employment agency in the sense of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003: we introduce, and you engage the worker directly. We do not supply workers, employ them or pay them.
Skillmatch is for businesses hiring for their own work. It must not be used to supply workers to anyone else.
Checking your business
Before you can post work, invite people or message them, we check your company on Companies House and that you may act for it. This check is free. Until it is done you can set up your sites and team and import your own freelancers, but nothing is sent to anyone.
Your own freelancers
You may import people who have worked with you or agreed to hear from you, and nobody else. Each person is invited once, in your name, and can decline. Someone who asks not to be contacted is not contacted again, and their details are removed.
Rebooking people in your own workforce is free.
What it costs
Your plan is shown on your account and charged monthly. Workers never pay Skillmatch anything.
Health, safety and the people you book
You tell us, before you post work, about the site and the hazards a worker needs to know. You are responsible for the site, for induction, and for checking that the person who arrives is the person you booked.
When things change
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will ask you to accept the new version before you post new work. Bookings already made continue under the version you agreed to.
